Grupo Duelo Dallas Concert reviews
Tool is simply amazing
I attended my first Grupo Duelo concert in Honolulu and it was an amazing experience. The band's live performance was phenomenal, truly bringing their music to life. They effortlessly took the stage and delivered a brilliant show. The visuals, mostly comprising the band's official music videos, perfectly complemented the live performance.
The setlist was fantastic, with Aenema opening the show and Stinkfist closing it. Hearing Vicarious and Schism was a treat, and Lateralus featured an extended version with Kirk Hammet making a guest appearance. The main set concluded with a powerful rendition of 46 & 2, a standout moment of the night.
For the encore, the band returned to play Third Eye, with a spoken introduction reminiscent of Salival. Maynard's delivery of the final verse left me on the edge of my seat. They closed the show with Stinkfist, one of my favorite Tool songs, leaving me wanting more.
The concert lasted around 90 minutes, though it felt too short due to the captivating performance. The venue was lovely, with no disruptive behavior from the audience. However, security seemed slow, which could have caused issues for some attendees. The sound quality in Section E was satisfactory.
